Verify your identity

  • Meeting your host in person: Present your current, valid license
  • Checking in for a Berseo trip: No photos or documentation needed; we verified your identity when you booked the vehicle

Document vehicle condition

  • Check that the vehicle meets legal requirements, is safe to drive
    • If the vehicle is unsafe or unsatisfactory, don’t complete check-in
    • Report the vehicle to Customer Support (1-516-260-5757)
  • Take photos documenting the vehicle’s condition
    • This is essential to protect yourself in case of pre-existing damage or issues and to manage reimbursement requests for post-trip incidentals
